The Museum
The Regional Natural Science Museum comprises the Saint-Pierre Castle exhibition site and the operational site in the municipality of La Salle. These two locations of one museum introduce visitors to the fascinating world of natural sciences and the natural heritage of the Aosta Valley, with its culture, history and traditions. The exhibition and operational sites work together to add significance to the Natural Science Museum and enhance its purposes. It is a place for research, the conservation of collections, exhibitions and scientific dissemination; a place for meeting, experimenting and sharing knowledge.
The museum is a permanent non-profit institution at the service of the population. It carries out research and collects, conserves, interprets and exhibits tangible and intangible heritage. Open to the public, the museums are accessible and inclusive, promoting diversity and sustainability.
