Halloween at the Saint-Pierre Museum
Friday, October 31, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, the Efisio Noussan Museum offers a special guided tour for children aged 6 to 12 through the rooms of Saint-Pierre Castle.
Halloween is a holiday all about fear. But when you look closely, nature doesn’t need costumes: over the course of evolution, its inhabitants have developed hunting, defense, and survival strategies that no horror movie can match.
On October 31, 2026, the Efisio Noussan Regional Museum of Natural Sciences in Saint-Pierre is offering a special guided tour for children, dedicated to the scariest and most surprising habits of the animal world. A journey through the castle rooms that turns Halloween into an opportunity to discover nature from an unusual perspective.
The format: independence, darkness, and discovery
The tour is designed for children aged 6 to 12 and takes place without parents present: participants explore the museum rooms independently alongside museum staff. This is a intentional educational choice: children face the experience without the safety net of their parents or guardians, helping them develop independence and observational skills.
Every participant must bring a flashlight or headlamp: darkness is an integral part of the experience, and some of the most interesting things in the animal world are best revealed when the main light comes from where you are looking, not from above.
